Digital Skills Training Can Add Rs. 2.8 Trillion to Pakistan’s GDP: Google

A recent analysis by Google found that digital skills training could boost Pakistan GDP by Rs 2.8 trillion  by 2030.

This is part of the broader impact of digital technology, which is expected to boost the country digital exports by $6.6 billion annually through mobile apps, digital advertising, cross-border e-commerce, and other services. A key driver of this growth is artificial intelligence (AI), which helps businesses innovate, enter foreign markets more efficiently, and reduce costs.

Moreover, Google efforts are already creating hundreds of thousands of jobs in Pakistan by empowering businesses with tools like Google Ads, YouTube, and the Android App Economy.

In 2023 alone, Google services contributed Rs 3.9 trillion to the Pakistani economy. The post highlights the potential of Pakistan's digital sector, especially as Google introduces new programs aimed at upskilling youth, women, and freelancers.
