The government of Pakistan announced a significant reduction in fuel prices, effective from September 16, 2024.
Petrol prices:
Petrol prices were reduced by Rs10 per liter, while high-speed diesel (HSD) saw a reduction of Rs13.6 per liter.
New prices :
As a result, the new prices stand at Rs249.10 per liter for petrol and Rs249.69 for diesel. This decrease is part of the government's effort to provide relief to the public amid global fluctuations in fuel prices.
Reduction:
The reduction also includes a Rs11.15 per liter cut in kerosene oil prices, bringing its cost down to Rs158.47 per liter.
Financial relief:
The decision is expected to provide temporary financial relief to consumers, as the country continues to adjust to changes in international oil markets.
