A suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan, on September 2, 2024 killed at least six people, including one woman, and injured 13 others. 


The explosion occurred in the Qala-e Bakhtiar district in southern Kabul. Police said a suicide bomber detonated  explosives, causing the deadly explosion. 


So far, no group has claimed responsibility for most insurgent attack in Afganistan. 


Violence in Afghanistan has decreased  since the Taliban took power in 2021, but the local branch of ISIS (known as ISIS-K) remains active and continues to carry out attacks, particularly against civilians, foreigners, and Taliban officials. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
