Two cops injured after terrorists attack Mianwali check post 

On September 2, 2024, a terrorist attack occurred at a police checkpoint in Mianwali, Pakistan. The incident occurred late at night in the Kabul Khel area, when a group of 12-14 terrorists attacked the checkpoint with rocket launchers and  grenades.

  Punjab Police responded quickly, repelling the attack and forcing the terrorists to flee. Two police officers sustained minor injuries in the shootout. 

Following the attack, a manhunt was launched to apprehend the fleeing assailants. The  timely and decisive police response was crucial to prevent further damage and casualties. 

 Inspector General of Punjab Usman Anwar praised the bravery of the police officers who guarded the checkpoint. The incident is part of a series of similar attacks on police checkpoints in the region.
