PML-N MPA Abdul Manan Sajid arrested in Multan
PML-N MPA Abdul Manan Sajid was arrested in Multan on 9 September 2024.
His arrest followed the Lahore High Court's refusal of interim bail in a case related to an alleged assault on the Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Muzaffargarh Municipality. 
The dispute arose in connection with the distribution of "bardhana" (gunny bags) and Sajid had allegedly participated in a protest along with farmers against the mismanagement of the distribution by the AC.
The Deputy Commissioner then filed a complaint against him. Sajid was sent to court custody directly following the court's decision.
