Lioness Gives Birth to 3 Cubs at Karachi Zoo

On August 12, 2024, a lioness at Karachi Zoo  gave birth to three healthy lion cubs. Both  mother and  cubs are said to be in good health. 

Visitors to the zoo will be able to see the eight-week-old cubs in about two months. 

The birth brings much-needed joy to the zoo following the recent natural death of a 30-year-old Bengal tiger. 

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab reiterated his commitment to improving the zoo.

 Recent additions such as an electric railway and renovation of the historic Mughal Gardens further enhance the visitor experience.
