SECP Appoints Salman Hamid Afridi as Chairman of Religious Board 

ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has appointed Salman Hamid Afridi as the Chairman of the Religious Board.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has appointed Salman Hamid Afridi as  Chairman of the Religious Council. 

This appointment fills a vacancy. Mr. Afridi will serve as President for the remaining term up to January 13, 2025. The appointment was made formal through a notification issued by the SECP. 

In doing so, the SECP exercises the powers conferred by various statutory provisions including the Modaraba Companies and Modaraba (Floating and Management) Ordinance, 1980, 15th ed., 16th ed.
