MUZAFFARGARH: Kot Addu city police have registered a case against a man and his two accomplices for allegedly raping a woman schoolteacher, depriving her of Rs5 million on the pretext of arranging US visas for her and her family, and demanding more money by blackmailing the victim.



The case was initiated against the main suspect "J", a resident of a village in Mian Chunu tehsil, his accomplice "GM" from Multan and another unidentified man on the complaint of  a government school teacher.

 In her First Information Report (FIR) filed under Sections 292 and 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), she claimed that she had befriended "J" on  social media platforms.

 According to her, the main suspects had promised to arrange US visas for her and her family  and on the same pretext had taken Rs 5 million from her.   They had blackmailed her and snatched Rs 5 million from her to get US visas for her family. 


She said that she had met the suspects at the house of  accomplice "GM" in Multan two years ago, where the suspects had raped her. She alleged that the suspects had subsequently raped her multiple times  and filmed obscene videos.

 According to the complainant, the suspects and their accomplices started blackmailing her and demanded more money, threatening to upload the video on social media if she did not pay them. 

She demanded the arrest of the suspects and return of the amount. Station House Officer (SHO) Nasir Abbasi said  a case has been registered against the suspects named in the FIR and they would be arrested soon. 

Attempted extortion: Kot Sultan police have booked two suspects for allegedly using CCTV footage to blackmail the woman and her daughter  and also tried to torture them.

 According to the complainant, suspects Akdas Mehdi and Furram Shahzad, who lived near the house,  installed a video CCTV camera and recorded footage of her and her daughter. 

According to her, the suspects began forcing her and her daughter to have a relationship or else they threatened to  upload the footage on social media. She alleged that the suspects also tortured her when she refused.

 She claimed that she  approached the Laiya District Police Officer in  open court and demanded the removal of the CCTV cameras installed by the suspects, but to no avail. 

The suspects then threatened to kill her and her daughter if she pursued her protest against the installation of the CCTV cameras.

 Based on their complaint, Kot Sultan Police registered a case against the suspects under Sections 341, 509 and 354 of the PPC. 

 The woman and her daughter demanded that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP)  order action against the suspects
