RAWALPINDI: Chief Traffic Officer Beenish Fatima has issued stern warnings against traffic violations in Rawalpindi, particularly during peak hours and schools dismissal time.

Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimur Khan has ordered a drastic crackdown on traffic violations, especially illegal parking,  to maintain  smooth traffic flow in the city.

The initiative is aimed at addressing issues such as double parking and illegal parking, especially in busy areas that often lead to traffic jams.

Traffic police have been instructed to strictly enforce the rules, paying special attention to speeding, helmet violations and driving under legal age.

The strict measures are a result of the increase in road accidents in the city and the CTO stressed that there will be no lenient response towards traffic violators.

Furthermore, traffic policemen have been asked to educate drivers to always be vigilant and follow traffic rules to avoid accidents and make traffic flow smoother  on the roads.
