Petrol, Diesel Prices Likely to drop by RS. 5-6 per litre

Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are expected to fall by Rs 5-6 per litre from September 2024. This will be the third consecutive week of fuel price cuts, providing a major relief to consumers.

The price cuts are mainly due to the fall in global crude oil prices, which have fallen by around $2-2.30 per barrel, and the appreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. Currently, ex-warehouse prices for petrol are Rs 260.96 per litre and for high speed diesel (HSD) Rs 266.07 per litre .
