LONDON: A trial date has been set for Oct 7 for three individuals accused of the murder of a 10-year-old girl found dead in her Woking, Surrey home in August last year.

The murder trial of three Pakistani men, Urfan Sharif (42), his partner Beinash Batool (29) and his brother Faisal Malik (28), is scheduled to begin  in the UK on 7 October 2024.

They are accused of murdering 10-year-old Sarah Sharif, whose body was found at her home in Woking, Surrey on 10 August  2023.

The girl's body was found with several wounds that had healed and  the suspects are said to have fled to Pakistan two days before her body was discovered.

They then returned to the UK in September 2023 and were arrested on arrival at Gatwick Airport.

All three have pleaded not guilty. The charges include murder and inducing or allowing the death of a child.
