Punjab to Create New Department to Combat Inflation

The Punjab government has announced plans to create a new department for fighting inflation with a focus on price control and stabilization of essential commodities. 

The initiative, led by Punjab Information Minister Asma Bukhari, will soon be presented to the provincial assembly for approval.

The department is expected to play a key role in containing inflation, which  recently fell to single digits, reflecting the region's positive economic recovery. 

Furthermore, Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif prioritized improving the supply chain and monitoring price fluctuations, emphasizing the importance of sustained measures to contain inflation. 

The new department will be crucial in implementing these strategies to contain rising costs and protect consumers.
